Keep the initial bandage on for 2 to 4 hours after your session. Your artist will give you specific timing based on your tattoo.
After removing the bandage, wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry, never rub.
Apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer or a recommended tattoo balm 2 to 3 times daily. Keep the skin hydrated but not suffocated.
Your tattoo will flake and peel as it heals. This is normal. Never scratch, pick, or pull at the peeling skin.
Keep your fresh tattoo out of direct sunlight, pools, hot tubs, and baths for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Showers are fine.
